During his recent appearance on The Bobby Bones Show, the host was baffled by people’s reactions to “good” and “nice” drivers. This forced him to ask Logano, “Why do people dislike you? What did you do to them, Joey?”
Logano answered the question with a smile, explaining, “Well, there’s nothing special about them, like direct. So, here’s the thing. I think it’s probably true in all sports, and I think it’s really hard for a lot of people to understand. When you get into competitive When you’re driving a race car, playing football, playing basketball or whatever, you have to change and be very selfish.”

Plus, he says it’s all about winning at the end of the day. Because of this, he has to balance his two personalities on and off the track. He explained, “So, you become a different person. And I think it’s really hard for people to understand how you can do one thing on the track and then get off, take off your helmet and be a normal person. Like being nice to people.”
Joey Logano explains where the hatred for him stems from
In the interview, Joey Logano explained that it’s his job to win games. Although he admits it is difficult for people to understand the two different roles he plays on and off the track.

Explaining exactly where it all came from, Logano said, “I’m probably one of the more aggressive guys on the track, and I think that’s where all this comes from. I don’t like being pushed around, and whenever someone pushes me I always push back. So, I think the aggression Sex comes out a lot on the track.”But unfortunately, fans never appreciated this “aggressive nature” on the track.
Kyle Busch says Logano has two faces
Calling Logano “two-faced,” Kyle Busch questioned why it was necessary for him to have two distinct personalities. Bush said in an interview:The problem with Joey is that he has two faces. So people know I’m an asshole. So I might be a jerk on the track, I’m really not, but Logano, he’ll come here, he’ll laugh, get lucky, go with the flow, be like (that) super nice guy, all that stuff. However, according to Logano, “When you can’t explain yourself well after a game, it looks like people can explain it all they want. So, you kind of have it both ways. Not everyone hates me. There’s some love in there, too.”

Well, Logano was right. Not everyone hates the 2022 champions. In fact, NASCAR chairman Steve Phelps himself appears to be a fan of Logano, according to a 2021 interview. On an episode of “I Am The Athletic,” Phelps admitted that he liked “that transformation” of Joey Logano, but most people disapproved.
Although when it comes to his colleagues on the track, it’s a different story.
