Players were ejected after a heated brawl broke out Sunday at the Ole Miss and LSU women’s soccer game.

The incident occurred in the second overtime of the SEC Championship, with LSU’s Maya Gordon and Ole Miss’s Ramsey Davis fighting for the ball near the sideline.

Gordon caught up to Davis before stealing the ball, and the young Ole Miss made a desperate attempt to regain the ball, grabbing her opponent by the waist.

Davis appeared to hit Gordon in the head with a swung arm, sparking an altercation between the two No. 9s.

Gordon then turned and punched Davis in the face. Then fists started flying off both players, exchanging a series of punches, some even hitting their targets.

The referee unsuccessfully chimed in before two of Gordon’s teammates intervened, with No. 8 Shannon Cook pushing the pair away before dragging her fellow Tigers aside.

Ole Miss coach Matt Mott stretched out an arm as Davis tried to escort his players to the sidelines.

But it wasn’t over, LSU’s Raminoel rushed over, seemingly to protect her teammates.

She rushed in in shock, grabbed Davis by the hair, and pulled her to the ground.

The coaches of both teams had to step in, eventually breaking the brawl before the referee walked over to show Davis, Gordon and Noel red cards.

Senior Gordon can later be seen tearing off the field, being held by the hair of a LSU staff member.

Things took a turn for the worse as the Tigers eventually lost 3-0 to Ole Miss with two players ejected.

All three players were reportedly suspended one game for their involvement in the brawl.
