Loop Media Helps Businesses Migrate to Streaming with Bandwidth Reducing Technologies

GLENDALE, Calif.–(Business Wire)–Loop Media, Inc., (“Loop Media”), (NYSE American: LPTV), a leading multichannel streaming platform that provides curated music video and branded entertainment channels for businesses and consumers, today announced the technology An awareness campaign has been announced around. Accessibility, universality and resilience of its end-to-end ad-supported, content and entertainment solution that is 100% free for businesses.

For the first time, in 2022, more Americans watched streaming TV than cable TV. Loop Media believes that the same trend toward streaming and away from traditional cable TV is evident in the out-of-home market, with companies like Loop Media offering these businesses alternative content choices on a free ad-supported basis. However, businesses face unique challenges when it comes to services that require high speed internet. While the national average internet speed is 119.03 Mbps, Loop Media reports that the average speed at business locations is only 23.11 Mbps.

“There are too many services competing for bandwidth in today’s modern business environments, and complex services like sales terminals simply cannot afford to go offline,” said Liam McCallum, chief product officer and co-founder of Loop Media. Know that consumer entertainment has become just as important to a venue’s success, so we recently launched a suite of features to help businesses more easily cut the cord and embrace streaming platforms for their consumer entertainment, like Loop Media.”

Bandwidth throttling

Most streaming services hungrily take all the bandwidth they can, but Loop Media’s proprietary Loop Player has the option to throttle the minimum bandwidth requirements necessary for operation. With this new option enabled, Loop Player will reduce its speed to just 4Mbps, leaving plenty of bandwidth free for other important services.

Networking over TCP

Venues are increasingly installing multiple streaming devices, which typically increase bandwidth requirements in a linear fashion. Loop players can now communicate among themselves over internal networks instead of streaming from the Internet to eliminate congestion. This makes your internet bill look like one streaming device instead of 10.

Media streaming availability

Loop Player is adept at playing channels reliably by prioritizing media traffic and adapting bitrates to even the slowest Internet connections. The venue owner can rest assured that if the venue’s internet becomes congested, the loop player should continue to entertain.

John Nirman, CEO of Loop Media, said, “Our mission above all else is to help businesses understand that we’re providing a continuous solution to everything that’s happening on their screens. Part of that storytelling is making sure business operators understand how easy and accessible we’ve made things from a technology standpoint.”
