SEOUL, REP. OF KOREA, Nov. 19, 2022 / — Neubility, the Korean autonomous mobile robot platform (CEO: Lee Sang-min), announced on November 18 that its self-driving robot Neubie has won the CES 2023 Innovation Award in the smart city category.

The CES Innovation Awards is an annual competition honoring consumer electronics and ICT products for outstanding design and engineering. For the event, a panel of industry expert judges carefully reviewed candidate products from around the world before the US Consumer Technology Association (CTA) finally selected the products rated highest in technological capability and innovation.

Neubie is an autonomous mobile robot developed for stable self-driving in urban environments characterized by high error rate and positioning complexity. The robot uses a multi-camera based V-SLAM, rather than expensive LiDAR sensors, and is designed to enable accurate position estimation even in high-density city center areas through embedded technology including ‘sensor fusion for obstacle recognition/AI-based avoidance logic’ ‘. and ‘driving condition recognition / drive lane detection.’ Based on the R&D efforts made for the past two years, it is now competing as a self-driving technology based on LiDAR, successfully solving the problem of high manufacturing costs, the biggest obstacle in bringing innovation to the delivery market, and therefore moving closer. for full commercialization.
